THE LONDON LEISURE PIRATES:
The London Leisure Pirates are a gaggle of actors, dancers and dandies who specialize in creating the weird, the wonderful and the downright unsavoury.
They've sold out shows at London's Shunt - including their interactive Shuntanamo Bay, the disturbing Hell's Soup Kitchen and the bawdy Victorian show, Bluff & Bloomers. And they recently returned to the Shunt Vaults in the guise of the world's first, worst and last misconceived sex club, Enter The Orafist, which featured pole-dancing OAPs, six-sided peep show booths and the most terrifying lap dances imaginable.
Their dance-troupe, SpandexAndrex, toured the festival circuit last year as dancers for The Infadels.
And they were the mentalists behind the Shangri-La and Trash City areas at this year's Glastonbury Festival. Their Boom-Boom Train was one of the most talked-about features of the festival. And fans queued for hours to be pushed on wheelchairs into a labyrinth 'of dentists, tattoo parlours, dinner parties and airport lounges inside a disused aeroplane.
They are also the resident actors at Proud's Bat Attack! nights, turning it into a crazy summer festival, a wartime border crossing where Lego is the only currency and a mental asylum, where the patients control the staff.
But The London Leisure Pirates' talents don't end there. Oh no. This year they also returned to the Secret Garden Party, where their show was a huge success in 2008. Anybody who went this year will know that their Officer's Mess was the only place to be and will suffer Vietnam-like flashbacks of their violent Dave-Off.
They were also the evil geniuses behind the Secret Garden Party's Village Fete Worse Than Death - featuring nicing, spronking and cake weight guessing.
If you're looking for a tailor-made interactive show for your events, a troupe of actors to enhance your guests' experience, or even just some galactically far-out ideas, the London Leisure Pirates are for you. They are very much for us and doing their PR is a massive wow on a daily, nightly and twilightly basis.
