RICK PARFITT JNR & THE RPJ CROHN'S FOUNDATION
When Rick Parfitt Jnr takes to the stage with the brilliant RPJ Band, it's clear that he's not just an average frontman.
His band aren't your run-of-the-mill gaggle of musicians, but some of the world's top session players, including members who regularly play for Robbie Williams, Lily Allen and James Morrison.
Of course, the name gives away his rock-royalty genes too, but there's more to Rick than being the offspring of Status Quo's legendary guitarist.
Rick is also fighting daily battles that most people could only imagine.
Rick suffers from Crohn's Disease – a horrific inflammatory disease that causes excruciating pain and affects 90,000 people in the UK alone.
But instead of moping and complaining about his condition, he set out to battle against the disease and help fund research into a cure, to ensure that other people don't have to go through the same pain and endless rounds of operations that he has endured.
In January 2010, Rick launched the RPJ Crohn's Foundation and enlisted the help of The Cult to tell the world about the disease nobody wanted to talk about.
The response so far has been overwhelming.
And we are throwing the star-studded Rock Ball on March 17th at The Hurlingham in London. It will be an achingly exciting shindig, featuring some huge acts, amazing entertainment, champagne, food and will be hosted by The RPJ Foundation's ambassador, Richard Hammond.
