A PLAGUE ON BOTH YOUR HOUSES
Ewer Street Car Park, Southwark, London

We all love Halloween at The Cult - mostly because we look like a Halloween character most mornings, so it gives us a handy excuse.

But when we decided to throw a spooky bash on October 31st, we were determined to make it the biggest and best party in town. And you know what? That's exactly what we did!

After scouting the capital for venues, we found a warren of previously unused arches in London's Southwark and set about transforming them into a safe-house, specially prepared to house the capital's lucky few who'd survived a deadly outbreak of the dreaded plague.  Inside, Smyle Creative were called in to create three stages in three separate arches, each with the finest soundsystems available and full lighting rigs.

Arch one hosted the spookily erotic burlesque stage, where acts from the Ministry of Burlesque tantalised and teased with acts ranging from a killer wife to a spooky suicide pact.

Arch two was the home of the acoustic stage, where Spindle & Wit - who would later go on to play at Camp Bestival and Bestival the following year - Rory Gibson and Kristian Marr were all booked to play.

And finally, in the main arch, the amazing Dead Kids headlined, with support from Rosie And The Goldbug and the brilliant Little Death, who continue to wow crowds around the world including support slots for Passion Pit and Ellie Goulding.

We completed the bill with top name DJs Jodie Harsh, TV star Caroline Flack and Britpop beauty Sadie Frost, and provided free fancy dress for guests.

And, to top the night off in Halloween-style, a midnight break-in from a gang of Plague-ridden zombies (all played by the wonderful London Leisure Pirates) made it a night to remember.
