SKY MOVIES BATMAN SERIES LAUNCH
The Union Chapel, London

When Sky Movies teamed up with ShortList magazine to launch their 'Batman Season', The Cult was tasked with creating a night worthy of the dark knight himself.

So, having searched high and low for the capital's most gothic venues, we opted for Islington's Union Chapel - a cavernous church with ornate stained-glass windows.

We then called in our friends at Smyle Creative to ensure that the surround-sound and projection would give attendees the perfect cinema experience.

And we set about finding the talent to make our pre-movie debate - on which is the greatest Batman movie ever - a must-see.  With Vic Reeves, Dom Jolly and Sky's Josh Howie joining ShortList editor Terri White on stage, the crowd eventually opted with Vic and his argument that The Dark Knight was top of the pile.

So, after a break for drinks, we allowed them to settle down and watch Christopher Nolan's masterpiece in the gothic splendour of Islington's 1800's gothic church
