THE WOODBINE

The Woodbine in Highbury is a safe-haven among a sea of Arsenal-swamped football pubs. For years, locals have secretly loved the friendly atmosphere, great jukebox and delicious Thai food served up behind The Woodbine’s unassuming black doors.

But another secret was the pub’s late-opening and live music licenses which, up until January 2010, had been unused.

And now? The Woodbine opens until 2am Fridays and Saturdays with a host of regular DJs and some extra disc-spinning from guest bands playing rockabilly, rock, country, motown and anything in between.

We created the hugely popular Flaming Dice club - North London’s best rockabilly club - held every Saturday; and the raucous Ronny Woodbine every Friday playing rock n roll. Come here to enjoy a little White Russian...

And even better than that? You can now spend Sundays nursing your well-earned hangovers with us too, because The Woodbine’s new chef knows his way around a chunk of beef!
