Manhattan Grill’s team scoured the globe for the finest steak, prepared by a celebrated chef - who earned his culinary stripes cooking for President Barack Obama - and served at their beautiful restaurant with dazzling West India Quay views.

This impressive cocktail of peerless food, service, knowledge and setting sets Manhattan Grill aside from other steak restaurants, wowing the capital’s gourmands.

After a worldwide quest for the perfect steak, they struck culinary gold with two prime meats, individually cut and expertly cooked in their sizzling, open-kitchen’s authentic Montague Broiler: Their wet-aged, USDA prime Black Angus from Creekstone farms in Kansas and their Scottish Aberdeen Angus from Inverurie - the birthplace of the legendary Aberdeen Angus Steak.

There are also a host of exciting seasonal specials, such as their exquisitely tender Wagyu Striploin, which was recently introduced to the specials board, as well as delicious alternatives including burgers, sumptuous linguine, corn-fed chicken, lamb rump and their remarkable Roasted Black Cod.

Their steaks are all grass-fed, Gold Label and pure-bred and are dry-aged for 28 days to ensure maximum taste. All tastes are catered to, from their melt-in-the-mouth Fillet Steak to the New York Strip, Flat Iron or Bone-in Rib Eye, all served with a host of delicious sides.

World-class meat is one thing, but it’s what you do with it that makes you soar above the competition. Fortunately, Manhattan Bar & Grill’s head chef is a man for whom steak has become much more than a job.

Originally from Mexico City, Damian Trejo learned his trade at a steakhouse in Tabasco State, where the speciality was USDA prime beef, seared to perfection on a three-metre long charcoal grill.

Having perfected the art of steak gastronomy, Damian embarked on a career that would see him preparing his speciality dishes for the world’s biggest and most discerning stars including President Barack Obama - whose favourite dish is steak - and the Dalai Lama.

When London called, Damian made a beeline for West India Quay, to serve his acclaimed dishes at Manhattan Bar & Grill.

Fine steak wouldn’t be the same without a well-matched red wine accompaniment, and Manhattan Bar & Grill offers an extensive list prepared by the world-renowned Baron Rothschild Estate.

From smooth Burgundy to crisp Sauvignon, compiled from South Africa, Chile, Argentina and France, they have something to suit every palate - and naturally, their waiters are always on hand to offer expert advice.

This experience is enjoyed amid the bustling ambience of their imposing restaurant, with its vast windows offering stunning views across the sparkling waters of West India Quay and Canary Wharf. Alternatively, guests can enjoy al fresco dining on their private terrace.

For special celebrations, VIP dining or executive dinners, the restaurant also provides a beautiful and exclusive mezzanine dining room, above the delicious smells and buzz of the main restaurant and looking down across the quay, seating 40 people for dining and 50 for receptions with its own private bar.
