Rat Pack legend Buddy Greco at Angels

Event date:
Thursday, February 7, 2013
Angels, Wardour Street

When Peter Stringfellow asked us to assemble the great and good of the journalism world at his Wardour Street club for a night of champagne and lobster as a thank you for support he's received over the years, we knew there would be no end of interest from writers, editors and broadcasters.

But this time, we also had an Ace up our sleeves - and it's the kind of Ace not anyone could pull: We had Buddy Greco.

As champagne flowed freely and the club's kitchens poured out incredible food, the lucky few were treated to one of the legendary Rat Pack playing a 45 minute set, accompanied by his wife Lezlie, who still oozes Hollywood glamour in a way only 'Old Blue Eyes' and his friends ever could.

Watching a true legend - a man who knocked around the Vegas strip with Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra - on a tiny stage in front of 100 people, was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and we're hugely proud to say that we met and worked alongside one of the music industry's greats.

And as if it wasn't a memorable enough evening, Peter then took to the stage to personally say thank you to the assembled journalists for their support... before dropping a bombshell that nobody was expecting: That he and his wife Bella were expecting their first child together.

A truly exciting evening at which The Cult were proud to play our part!
